At Concordia Lutheran Preschool, our warm, experienced staff create an environment that is safe, nurturing and fun – a place where children want to learn! We strive to develop each child academically, socially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Young children love to learn, and we strive to feed their curiosity in a loving, dynamic environment with a challenging and interesting curriculum and learning materials. Our curriculum is play-based and centers on weekly themes. Our schedule is broken up to include both large group and small group learning, lots of outside or gym time, and learning centers that include art, dress up, language arts, the sensory table, blocks and legos, science, math, and manipulatives.
We are pleased to offer three preschool classrooms at Concordia Lutheran. Our first class is for our youngest students, the Teddy Bear class, for students who turn 3 by August 31 of the enrollment year. Families may choose from half day (9-1) or full day, and it is offered 2-5 days per week. This class has a social and emotional development focus, along with early academics such as colors, shapes, and ABCs. We also offer zoo phonics in this class.
Our middle preschool class is for children who are age 4 by August 31 of the enrollment year; this is the Bumble Bee class. It is offered 3-5 days per week. The class features age appropriate academics, including zoo phonics and a math curriculum, and continued growth of social and emotional skills. This class is also offered either half day (9-1) or full day.
We are offering a new class, the fives, for our oldest preschool students and young potential kindergarteners who will turn 5 by December 31 of the enrollment year. It is offered either half day (8:30-1:00) or full day, 4 or 5 days per week. This class is our academically most rigorous class, with daily language arts and math, and weekly enrichments to include German, PE, and music.
